Goku

(Son Gokou) - The son of Bardock, Goku is of a race called the Saiyans. The Saiyans possess a unique ability to fight. If a Saiyan is defeated in battle, he gains strength so he may win next time. The Saiyans' home planet, Vegeta, was destroyed in an explosion. Actually, Frieza, strongest warrior in the galaxy, destroyed it because he thought the Saiyans were becoming a threat to his power. Only four Saiyans were away when this happened. They were: Kakarot (Kakaroto), who is Goku, Raditz (Raditsu), Goku's older brother, Nappa (Napa), commander-in-chief of the Saiyan army, and Vegeta (Bejita), a Saiyan prince and strongest Saiyan till Goku defeats him. All Saiyans have a monkey-like tail, which, at the light of the full moon, allows them to transform into huge ape-like creatures, called were-monkeys (Japanese name is Oozaru). Goku's was removed when he was a little boy, because he would transform and destroy everything, because young transformed Saiyans have no idea what they're doing. Before their planet was destroyed, the Saiyans were interplanetary exterminators. The Saiyans would go to a planet and remove all life from it, so it could be sold. Adults were sent to strong planets, but for weak ones like Earth, a baby was sent. Goku was sent to Earth, but he hit his head and forgot he was supposed to kill everyone. Goku is the second Saiyan in history to achieve the rank of Super Saiyan. The first, which lived over 3000 years ago(?), could only maintain this level in the transformed state. This one was so powerful that he didn't know how to control it. One day, his rage erupted and destroyed him.When someone is a Super Saiyan, his hair turns bright yellow, his eyes turn green, and he is extremely powerful. When Goku and crew were battling Frieza, Krillen was chosen as a target. Frieza killed him telepathically, exploding him from the inside. Goku was devastated by the fact that Krillen was gone for good, and he was up against an opponent he couldn't dream of defeating, which made him extremely pissed. Power started flowing all around him, and his hair fluctuated between normal and golden. Goku's rage erupts in one massive outburst, and he turns Super Saiyan for the first time. Goku is also the first Saiyan to reach SS3 and SS4(Super Saiyan to the Third Power and Super Saiyan to the Fourth Power) levels. When Goku powers up well beyond SS level, his hair grows down to his waist, his eyebrows disappear, and his face becomes leaner (SS3). SS4 came in Dragon Ball GT (Grand Tour). In order to beat Vegeta Bebi (Vegeta possessed by the last member of the Tsurufu-jin), Goku went through an extremely long ritual to make his tail grow back. At SS4 level, Goku is more like his primal Saiyan ancestors, with bushy black hair and pronounced eyebrow ridges. When he transforms in this state, he becomes a golden Oozaru. Goku commands two extraordinary attacks, the Kaiouken and the Genkidama. The Kaiouken is a massive upsurge of power. Strength, speed, even hearing and vision and enhanced. The catch is there's always a chance it can destroy your body. When Goku reaches Super Saiyan, he stops using the Kaiouken, because his body wouldn't be able to handle the energy. The Genkidama is used as a last resort. It gathers the fighting spirit of all living things, and the sun's if it's out, and forms it into a ball to be thrown. Even in Super Saiyan, Goku can still use the Genkidama. NOTE: All Earth fighters possess the ability to sense power levels without a device. All others must use something.
